Expanding the Light of Consciousness

In times of darkness, the work is not to become louder than the chaos.

The work is to expand the light of consciousness.

Lately many of my clients have been feeling discouraged about the state of the world.  Some feel small and powerless. I have been asked , “What difference could I possibly make?”

From both a psychological and spiritual perspective, this is an important moment.

The micro affects the macro.

Much of the work with clients recently has been helping them stabilize internally—regulating fear, strengthening discernment, and reconnecting to their own inner authority. At the same time, we are working with consciousness in a spiritual sense: expanding awareness, cultivating presence, and remembering that each person carries a spark of light.

Some people believe their flame is tiny.

But a focused flame can ignite another. And another.  And another.

Light spreads quietly and it simply illuminates what is real.

Sometimes holding that light requires endurance. It requires staying conscious when it would be easier to shut down, becoming reactive, or surrendering to despair. It can even feel like holding a candle while the wax drips onto your hand—uncomfortable, imperfect, but deeply meaningful.

Still, the light remains.

When one person steadies themselves, calms their nervous system, chooses clarity over fear, and releases resentment, ripple effects begin. Families change. Conversations change. Communities shift.

Your flame matters.

And when you tend it carefully—protecting it, strengthening it, allowing it to grow—it has the power to illuminate far more than you may realize.

It is then, that you have clarity to take right action.
